Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Most people feel anxious at times and this helps to improve overall performance. However, people who experience an anxiety disorder feel anxious and worried much of the time, often without due cause. These worries are intense, persistent and interfere with normal activities of daily living. The worries can relate to any part of life including work, health, family, finance or one specific phobia. People often feel an ‘impending doom’ as if something terrible is going to happen.
